1, what are the differences between "Open Source Software" and "public domain software"? They are both free to modify, copy and redistribute. I can not find any difference.
2, I am confused about BIOS. Dose BIOS exist before we install operating system? Where does BIOS come? It also has interface. What is the relations between BIOS and operating system? Why computers need BIOS?
3, Does the existing virus have some relations with open source? Is it because the code is open? Generally speaking, free software and open software are less safe than software that charges fees.
4, Something strange. I have to pay fees to get Adobe Reader software in U.S.A, but I can download free Adobe Reader software from Chinese website. Why? Dose this free software have copyright? Is it legal?
